CLIENT QUOTES
"I’m thankful for Larry’s insightful and creative observations of historic channel conditions and recognition of the large production potential for a spawning reach in a Willapa River tributary. Larry maintains a sound, technical approach to problems and this complemented by his enthusiasm for restoration work makes him a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him for any salmon related restoration you are considering."
Tom Kollasch, Pacific Conservation District Watershed Restoration Program Director
"Larry and the Environmental team have completed multiple projects for our Program for over a year. Their analyses have been thorough and of high quality and they consistently deliver timely even amidst complex situations. Larry has helped our program navigate environmental compliance and due diligence and has been a great communicator through the process”
Becky Newton City of Lakewood, Community Development Program Manager
“Larry worked with my engineering team, in support of California Trout Unlimited, to bring in innovative ideas and concepts for channel layouts, fish passage, and water resource management to advance a proposal to the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy as part of the Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan. The Rivers and Mountains Conservancy is interested in the various alternatives and the proposal is being considered for advanced design funding.”
Jose Hernandez, PE, Ardurra Group, CA
"Larry and I worked together while both of us served in agency leadership roles concerning fish passage project design and permitting. Collectively we facilitated interagency discussions between engineering and fish passage science and ecology in order to clarify and define a common understanding of water crossing design guidance. His efforts provided forward momentum for WSDOT’s fish passage projects in the initial stages of the program. I found Larry to be technically proficient, personable, and a pragmatic problem solver while resolving many complex design issues."
Dean R. Moon, P.E. Assistant State Design Engineer Development Division Washington State Department of Transportation
“Larry has provided very insightful, creative and useful thinking about helping us manage our complicated and very important White River issues involving river channel changes that are affecting community infrastructure and community properties. Larry conceived and led an effort in defensible data gathering to provide to State and County regulators in anticipation of future work involving risk assessment, hydraulic modeling, and potential bridge replacement.”
Diane Thompson Crystal River Ranch Homeowners Association
“Larry effectively led an interdisciplinary team to evaluate a highly complex river reach ... He worked with the design team to propose concepts and cost estimates… Deliverables were on time and on budget. The complex information was presented at stakeholder meetings and in a thorough technical report with helpful graphics,…still used as the foundation for the project.”
Aaron Penvose Trout Unlimited
“As an aside, I want to add that we have been reviewing many culvert projects recently, and we have been pleased and impressed with your work."
